Hello all,
I am one of the unfortunate souls with flat feet and high arches which has caused me to not re-up my contract with the military because of my inability to keep up with running. My doctor has told me need to avoid impact exercise and recommended swimming. I have no problem with this as I love to, the problem is that there is no pool for 90 miles of my current town....
Does anyone have some good suggestions for a good low impact exercise?

I thought it meant that when you have flat feet you have no arches? How can one have flat feet with high arches? I'm confused?
Also, bike riding is low impact.

I recommend cycling.
I am also going to be in the confused crowd. You can not have flat feet and high arches, its one or the other. You can have fallen arches.
I agree with other PPs yoga, zumba (maybe) kick boxing, karate, weight lifting, so forth and so on!
As the PP mentioned...weights, kickboxing, yoga, step aerobics, Zumba/dance classes, the elliptical, walking, cycling, spin class...
