Is everyone ok? Any damage?? I live NE Kansas so it's not here yet.

I'm wide awake and I'm ok in the part of town I'm in. The tornado ripped through the south part of town and they are reporting the Air Force base is damaged and a huge aircraft plant (spirit aerosystems) is destroyed. They also say that search and rescue is occuring in the south-southeast part of town. Obviously it's really dark so it's hard for people to asses damage. Really sad and scary. Also, it's looking like anothe system is going to be rolling through in a bit so it isn't over.

We are in north Wichita and this round missed us. Big system headed our way now. We set up camp in the basement and are going to try to get some sleep!

 My parents are in Topeka, so I have been watching there too and it looks like one is headed that direction right now. Stay safe!!

We don't have any beds/furnishings in our basement (were currently finishing it) so we're just keeping a watchful eye on things and heading down there if need be. We didnt have to get the kids up earlier, thank goodness. I was seriously on the edge of my seat earlier though, we were just discussing who would grab which kid in the event of emergency.

We have friends in Wichita so we have been staying in contact with then? They are ok but it came very close to his moms house. Right now we are watching the salina storm. DHs aunt and uncle live their and his mom is in manhattan. it's going to be a long night for us it looks like.

Hopefully the kids keep sleeping through the whole night and you don't have to get them up! Did you see Harry and Webb is impassable? Some friends live near there and said there are power lines down in their backyard. I am sOoooo glad we didn't go to the Miranda lambert concert tonight. Hope you stay safe!!

It's so crazy to look at the radar and see these weather cells all over. Night of the twisters. So scary that it's at night and we can't see what's going on.

Yeah. The south/east part of town isn't looking good at all. And to think, the tornado was on track to hit downtown Wichita and the arena! You stay safe as well.

Nothing here yet still. There is a suspected tornado north of Manhattan now but it's headed toward Seneca so more north than east. Lines are long. Going to try to fall back asleep.
