We are under a Tornado Warning

State just issued a warning, but none has been spotted.

What state do you live in? I've never heard of issuing a warning when a tornado hasn't been spotted. Here (KS), they see a tornado, then sound the sirens.

  • Good thing you decided against that race!

NorthEast Oklahoma. There were strong rotations in the storm so they issued the warnings. Better safe than sorry.  The town 13 miles South had damage, and the town 5 miles East also had damage.   We ended up heading over to my Uncles house in case we needed to head to the storm shelter. My fence has been hit my lighting twice now, and the boys are crying about the thunder. (we are home now, and electic is off and on, and my internet is patchy)

As per the race, the started pulling people off the course by 9:30am just 2 hours after the start.  I am glad I did not go I would have been stranded in the middle still having to walk back to the car.

Oh I totally agree with better safe than sorry, I just haven't ever heard of a warning without them on the ground. Sorry to hear about your property and I hope the boys are settled soon and your power stays on!

Good thing you didn't go to the race. We had concert tickets last night and they wound up stopping the concert and making everyone just sit in their seats or stand in the hallway while a tornado was a few miles away. No, thank you!!
