I've been really bad about getting our cars washed. I am really good about cleaning up the interior of our home, housekeeping, grocery shopping/cooking, but when it comes to getting the car cleaned, I am awful about it. Our much older car hasn't been washed in literally a year (yikes!). I tried to take it to the car wash 3 times today, but the line was incredibly long. When I have in the past tried to hand wash, it just doesn't get cleaned very well.
How good are you about washing your cars and keeping them clean? How often would you say you clean them? How much do you spend on washing them? We don't have children so our interiors aren't terrible, but because of all the pollen our cars look really bad.

Washing my car is a colossal waste. Between the gravel roads, random dust and mud it doesn't pay.
As long as there isn't road salt on my car I don't particularly care if it's washed or not.
It costs $10.00 here for the really good wash or H does it with the pressure washer so NBD. In the winter and spring I try for once a month...in the summer it's a lot less.
H is obsessed with washing his truck....he was on a once a week kick for awhile..but now even he doesn't care and it's more like once a month lately.
I really only wash my car if I'm going to be driving a client or higher-up co-worker around. LOL.
I take mine to the drive-thru place about every 6 weeks. For $9, it does a fancy wash that includes tire shine, and you get to use the vacuums for as long as you want afterwards.
I am obsessive about cleaning any garbage out of my car every time I fill it up for gas, so there are never loose receipts or old McDonald's cups in there.

Thinking of doing cosmetic updates to a dated home? These were our costs.
My H finally took my car to this car wash place that they do all the work on it. I had a gift certificate from when I graduated (2 years ago) and never used it. They said it was the "dirtiest car (he) ever cleaned."
I'd be embarrassed but the popcorn in the back seat was NOT my fault. All the kid. And I drive on a gravel road when I visit the ILs so I don't see the point in washing it all that often lol.

this is me, except, i also try to empty garbage out of the car every evening when i get home from work. dh has a small kitchen sized can near where i park in the garage and he empties into the bigger bin on trash day. also, i might not do 1x/6 weeks, quite, if dh decides my car needs to be washed sooner than i do. really, he keeps up with the exterior washing and i keep the inside tidied up.
The car wash he took my car to is like $17 for the basic wash. I would rather spend $5 and wash it myself but I usually have the kid during my free time and he is TERRIFIED of car washes. I keep the trash in my door, though, so it gets cleaned out when it's full.
I found this tutorial on pinterest on how to take grocery bags and roll them up so you can put them in a plastic lysol container and then they dispense one by one and that has helped!

This is us. You can wash it and it will need to be washed by night fall. I do wash it as soon as its warm enough to get the road salt off though.

Thank you!

once every 3-4 weeks. we have a place that we go to that does a pretty decent job, and I pay $18.99 for a wash and tire shine for an SUV. we take my husband's car for the hand wash, and it's $25. I keep the interior really clean - I don't really keep a lot in my car other than my grocery bags and an umbrella.
I try to get a full interior/exterior detail every year, but have been bad about that. plus, it's like $300.
