Need some furniture arrangement assistance. PIPs

Hi there - Just purchased a new sofa and loveseat to replace the sectional couch+Ottoman we previously had in our LR. I'm a little bit at a loss of what to do with the corner that is created with the current arrangement. Right now we have an end table in there, but it doesn't really fit the space. Could you take a look and make suggestions on arrangement and/or furniture you'd purchase to complete this look?

I'm also looking for suggestions on coffee table, as the one that you see in the picture is temporary from our formal LR, I'm testing it for size. I think it feels too "heavy".

And sorry, the LR is a little messy right now...  :-)

Re: Need some furniture arrangement assistance. PIPs

  • i would get a larger table for that corner space that coordinates, but doesn't match the other two. i would relocate the one there to the other side of the love seat, as it looks like there is still room over there for it and whatever you might have planned for the corner near your media cabinet (maybe have the lamp on the end table stay with it and move that floor lamp to the larger corner once you have another table, if it will fit).

  • The corner's not that bad. I agree that a larger end table is in order, but it's nothing critical.

I would do something about the poor little floor lamp off by itself.  I'd trade that out for a palm tree or other tall houseplant.

  • Totally unrelated, but is that the Sourav coffee table?   I have the Sourav farmhouse table and love it but find that it is hard to clean and easily leaves water marks.  How do you clean yours?  With just Pledge wipes?
  • I agree with Tar that the floor lamp needs some help.

I would find a larger, round end table for the corner you mentioned. I would find  larger lamp or some larger accessories for the table.

I might also look for a book shelf for the wall where the floor lamp is.
