My first D&R project PIP
I know I'm new around here, but I couldn't wait to show my first D&R project! Our first house means for the first time, I get to decorate kids rooms! I never got to do a nursery for either of my two littles, so I'm really excited to do their rooms.
We move into our house next weekend, so this was done here in our rental. I reclaimed this sad old chest of drawers that had been languishing in my garage for a while. It had some damage from previous hardware and some terrible water staining on the top ... it needed a new finish so we went brunette!
Only took a few hours of sanding and a few hours of staining... and i think it will really complement the rug i chose for her room!
For good measure, I put $15 worth of spray paint into jazzing up this tired looking bookshelf too. I think this will be for my son's room.
