ugh. I hate when I read a pattern incorrectly! At least from what I understand from what I've seen on these boards you can frog it and start over again! (I've always thought knitting is a very forgiving craft in that way -- that you can easily take things apart and re-do. Feels very frugal. Meanwhile, fabric cut into pieces will always remain fabric cut into pieces.)
