tulum- help me pack

It's been awhile since our last beach vacation and I keep having brain farts as to what to pack besides swimwear, shorts, cover-ups. Help me add to the list:

snorkel fins/flippers + mask

hat

sunscreen

mosquito repellent

small hand towell to wipe our feets before entering cabanas

vacation book

gallon size zip locks (to keep sand and water our of our items like cameras)

  • a few things for dinner and you're all set-along with the usual-immodium, tums, asprin, any meds you take, phone/camera chargers etc ..you dont need much.
    Friday, December 28 2012. The day I had emergency appendix surgery in Mexico and quit smoking. Proof that everything has a good side!! DH and I are happily child-free!! No due date or toddler tickers here!! my read shelf:

  • here are my lists I revised when I got back from Tulum last time. *some all inclusives prohibit men in shorts at the most of the nicer dinner restaurants so make sure YH has at least one pair of comfy, summer weight pants.

    ONE ROLLING SUITCASE

    +everything loose, comfy for hot humid weather +

     

    Bathing suits 2-4

    Underwear, 2 bras (one racer back for tank tops)

    1 dressy cover up for pool/grill/bar

    Dresses for dinner 2

    Linen pants for dinner

    Heels 1

    Flat dressy sandals 1

    Running/walking shoes (trail runners?) 1

    Shorts 3 (1 cut offs, 1 dressier cotton-kind of baggy, 1 running shorts)

    1 dressy top

    1 gauzy top, 2 tanks, 1 tee shirt

    Loose pajamas pant w/ soft tank top for sleeping

    2 exercise tops, 2 bra tops, 1 yoga Capri, 3 pairs of socks

    Sun hat or cap?

     

    Toiletries

    Conditioning shampoo, hair oil, anti-frizz leave in, curl control cr?me, SPF, deep conditioning mask

    BUG SPRAY-chemical free- for evenings, patios, etc

    Face wipes lazy make up removal or sweat (most likely to just shower all the time!)

    Body wipes for sightseeing/sweating your ass off

    Lotion + extra hydrating body cream

    SPF Face & Body & lip cream

    Body scrub

    Shave

    Bath salt

    No lip plumper or minty lip gloss

    No strong mint toothpaste (it burns already chapped lips!)

     

    Make up minimal

    Sheer face tint, concealer

    Sheer blush cream

    Lipstick + gloss

    Mascara + eyelash curler

     

    Carry on ideas for the short airplane ride (inside a sturdy beach tote)

     

    • Sweater wrap for dinners, evenings in room etc
    • iPhone
    • Rx Sunglasses & Case; rx glasses
    • Various rings and bracelets and their own protective pouch (use a wristlet and it DOUBLES AS EVENING CLUTCH)
    • Hair tie
    • Sudoku, pencil & eraser
    • iPad + Noise cancelling headphones
    • All inside a Packable beach bag
    • Beauty Elixir: face balm & SPF face to reapply
    • SPF Ahava hand lotion: To battle the dryness
    • One lipstick and SPF lip balm
    • Eye drops, Purell
    • Keys
    • Wallet
    • paperback novel (for the no-electronics taxi/takeoff/landing times)
    • bathing suit + flip flops for quick change upon arrival at hotel pool!
