Did everyone have a nice weekend?
Were you productive or did you use the weekend to be completely lazy?
I honestly did a little of both myself. We spent way too much money this weekend, but we got:
-two new closet doors for H's closet
-new garage door opener for our garage door (it needed a $100 computer part, plus the sensors were broken, so we spent $170 on a new opener instead)
-new storm door for the front of the house
-new globe for the ceiling fan in our bedroom
I think we picked out the carpet too, just going with stuff off the roll from Lowes for $.80 a square foot (doesn't need to be fancy, we just want it to look nice for market!).
And then, I spent yesterday afternoon touching up paint in the kitchen and bathroom, plus removing paint from trim. The best things to do that:

I used the top end of the blackhead extractor after I used the scrubs-in-a-bucket to soften the paint up and it worked great. Note: this won't work on painted trim, just stained trim.

Friday I took all of my office/scrapbooking stuff from 2 small bookcases and put them into my new deep Ikea Billy bookcases. I got the new 15" deep ones for my 12x12 scrapbook stuff and it's so much better. Just need to do some organizing of the little things now. Still trying to determine the best way to build a desk between the two also.
Spraypainted 3 convex mirrors I got to put over our bed. Hopefully we can hang those tonight. I'm re-creating this pin, but doing white mirrors.
DH also got a new grill for his birthday, so he spent yesterday afternoon putting it together. It's quite a bit bigger than his old one, so I know he's excited.
Wives Unscripted
Yeah!
I worked on the farm and milked a ton of cows. My family helpers were all at a family event and it was Kranikan's weekend off. Pretty fun and it was nice out so Rubes was well occupied outside!
Then I took Rubes to baby class and then we walked the lake trail.
In the afternoon, I cleaned house and organized some junk for the Russian's arrival.
Then I went to dinner with a friend in town for a work conference. It was fun!
Sunday, I left my phone in the restraunt on Saturday so I went back to pick it up and stopped at Target. Then H and I made breakfast, played with the kiddo. I ran H watched the kid.
Then I milked more cows and put kid to bed.
She was up all night for some reason though (She never is, I think she's half sick. Runny nose and teeth) so this morning is rough!
Friday: Relaxed with the hubby and watched a movie
Saturday: Went to my brother's wedding shower. Happy for him, but had some interesting moments with some family members :
Sunday: Didn't go to church like we wanted because we were just run down....but woke up, had brunch, then worked in the yard. Spent a beautiful day with the hubs doing all of that then eventually watching a movie and relaxing.
I painted our kitchen cabinets for another 15+ hours. I'm so close to the end - I have like 6 more door fronts to second coat (I only did a generous touch-up 2nd coat on the frames of cabinets and insides of the doors). I promise to PIP when I'm done.
I also went to Home Depot and got the wall color and a sprinkler. DH mowed the lawn and watered the plants (we need rain!). I picked out hardware and ordered shelf paper too.
I did a little packing too - so a rather productive weekend.
You know I need an update on this, right?
Friday we just hung out. Nothing fancy.
Saturday the H worked on someone's car, then went golfing. He was gone all day, so it was just me and BabyWop. We went to the grocery store, made a dessert and did some light cleaning and laundry.
Sunday we had Easter with the IL's. Food was delicious.

I worked all weekend. I'm tired.
Friday - went to see The Hunger Games with friends
Saturday - worked, did taxes, worked, went to a shower, worked, did taxes, and went to the local high school's musical
Sunday - at church 7 - 12 because I had to play the piano, worked, took a nap, worked worked got nasty work emails, went to bed.
I need another weekend before I shank someone. I'm tired and cranky.
I'm with you. If I get too hungry today, I'll be hangry + angry. Bad news.

Saturday we went to the tulip festival(craft show) on the way to that my mom and I dropped Dh off at his moms so he could visit. I bought a bottle of wine, homemade cinnamon rolls, a new purse, and some letter pictures to spell out love. Then we had lunch all together and went to the mall for adds but we had to get back before the storms started. Saturday night Dh and I got a pizza and sat around. Sunday Dh had a recreational baseball meeting. So when he left for that I went shopping a little. I found a new top for graduation in may hat we are going to and I found my unborn niece some jellys. After Dh got home we went and bought some flowers and planted those. The rest of the evening we were pretty lazy.
Friday: I met mom for dinner at the local mexican joint, and then we walked over to Peebles. Got some fun new nail polish
Saturday: Planted my dahlias, and half of my vegetable garden. Loaded up the four wheelers with two friends and went out to my parents farm and rode til 11pm.
Sunday: Cleaned the four wheeler off, went to the farm to help mom give the ponies a bath, bought some trees to plant in our huge span of grass, finished planting the rest of my garden (for now), finished taxes.
Our weekend was pretty boring, but that was ok. Friday night we went to the gym, then came home and had pizza and vegged until bedtime.
Saturday we did spin class in the morning, then went to H's work to volunteer for 3 hours, then wandered around the mall for a bit - H needs new pants and we failed miserably at finding any. Came home, ate cereal and watched a Night to Remember on TCM.
Sunday we slept in and then H worked on taxes pretty much from 9am to 5pm. Finally got them done, so we drove into town and bought some celebratory alcohol - LOL - and got dinner at a local sandwich place. Came home, watched a little tv, hit the sack.
We are BORING.
On Sat we slept in had a big brunch, carpet cleaned the inter house, grilled, and then went to a party at my sisters house. On Sun we slept in skipped church, took the kids outside to enjoy the sunshine. H and I took care of the lawn, planter beds, and garden boxes. Had FIL and MIL over for dinner a BBQ.
( So in a nut shell, we are heathens who eat a lot of meat and enjoy playing in the dirt! )
