Paint color suggestions?

I'm trying to plan what colors to paint the den and kitchen of my new house. It's new construction and when we close the walls will be egg shell white.  The family room and eat in kitchen will be the same color b/c they share one long wall. I want to do the kitchen a different color but something that flows well with the other color.

We are getting the below couch but it will just be the couch with the chaise, not the full sectional. The couch is a darker gray in person. I'm thinking a lighter gray for the living room and the eat in kitchen. Would that be too much gray? I want to do pops of yellows and greens for the rest of the room. I already have the below throw pillows for the couch. I can use those pillows else where though if needed.

Any color suggestions for the kitchen if I go with a lighter gray for living room and eat in kitchen?

They are a medium wood color. I have a picture but not with me. Thanks for the links!

If its not too close and you own that pillow I'd just match the gray in it.

That's a good idea! I forgot you post over here a lot.   Any suggestions for the kitchen color? My mom suggested a greenish gray but I'm not sure about that.

I'm thinking of going with a greenish gray, too. We have a simlar setup, with an open kitchen/family room that share a long wall. The cabinets are a reddish brown, with pale green countertops. You can always add an "accent wall" on the wall farthest from the kitchen (perpendicular to the wall they share) to add a different feel to that room.
