Appetizer help please.
Ok so I have some time but I am in party prep mode. I am hosting a book exchange party May 5th and am planning on serving appetizers and deserts. So far I am thinking th following but would love a couple more ideas.
Appetizers:
Shrimp cocktail, Brie with raspberry preserves, veggie pizza (the recipe from pampered chef I'm assuming at least some of you know what I'm talking about), cheese and crackers
My mom just went to a party this weekend and they had mashed potatoes served scooped like ice cream in martini glasses. She suggested that I'm just not sure.
Deserts I'm thinking mini fruit pizzas and cupcakes, maybe lemon bars.
Any suggestions? Thoughts on the potatoes?

The potato thing just seems weird to me but to each their own...
Our go to for parties is buffalo chicken dip
I love the idea of the potato thing, but not at a party where it's only appetizers and desserts.
Ditto Alicia's idea of the buffalo chicken dip. Or any warm/hearty dip for that matter.
I saw an idea on Pinterest to do a mini fruit pizza bar w/ sugar cookies, a bowl of the "frosting" and platters of cut fruit for the toppings.
Ditto all of this! I think a warm dip would be perfect. That all sounds so yummy!
