Training for half marathon and century ride
Long time lurker here.
I'm currently training for a half marathon in mid-July, with a century bike ride about 3 weeks later. I'm up to 10 miles in my long runs, which I currently do with friends on Saturday mornings, but then I'm finding that I do not have the energy for a long training ride on Sundays. My last Sunday ride I only made it about 10 miles when usually 30-40 is no problem!
Any advice? I guess I can do my rides during the week once it stays light later in the evenings. How do you tri ladies schedule your training?
Re: Training for half marathon and century ride
Sunday: long ride
Monday: swim or off
Tuesday: track workout
Wednesday: 1.5- 2 hour ride
Thursday: tempo run
Friday: swim and bike, or no swim and just bike
Saturday: long ride
This is generally speaking. I know coming up here next week, or maybe it's this week I start doing bricks and doubles.
