NDR: Meal planning websites/apps/blogs?

I hate cooking and am terrible at thinking of dinner ideas. But I am forcing myself to do it anyway because it's cheaper and healthier. So I'm looking for some good websites with lots of hopefully easy, healthy recipes. Bonus points for a site that lets me put in the ingredients I have on hand...

 Thank you!

  • I should add that I have the biggest problem coming up with side dishes, preferably on the low-carb end. I'm asking a lot, I know.
  • Skinny Taste http://www.skinnytaste.com/ is a great site. You can put an ingredient in to search but doesn't really have the feature to enter multiple things and have a recipe come up.

http://www.kalynskitchen.com/ is a great source for low-carb main and side dishes.

  • I also have this problem and use allrecipes.com to enter my ingredients and figure out what meals I can cook. All of their recipes are reviewed and rated, so that is a big help in choosing something that's easy for me to make. I also have the allrecipes.com app on my phone and browse the "daily recipes" each day and save the ones that look good to my "favorites". When I feel like planning ahead, I look up my saved recipes and have a list of the ingredients I'll need to get from the store.

  • I started gathering a ton of recipes on Pinterest, but then I realized that all of these new and unknown recipes were kind of daunting for someone who is not really a cook.  Like you, I also hate having to come up with things to make everyday.  I recently made my own meal planner by typing up a list of meals we already have on a regular basis and came up with about 20 meals. Now some of the meals are the same entree but the sides will be different (ex. stuffing instead of baked potato). Anyway, I followed this:

Mine isn't as pretty, but it has made things so much easier. Each Sunday I randomly pick 7 cards and that's what we are having for the week. I write down the ingredients to make my store list and buy only what I need for that week. I did laminate mine and can write on the cards with a dry erase marker if I want to make changes.  I am so not organized and this has been very simple for me.
