Do you think facial masks really work?
I have combination skin (with definite increased oil in the t-zone area in the warmer months). I purchased Queen Helene's Mint Julep mask, but I just don't know if it does anything for my skin? Luckily it is only $4 so I wasn't worried if it didn't work...
I've tried other masks in the past but I don't think it did anything for my skin.
If you have combination skin, could you recommend your mask, and what benefits you've seen from it?
Re: Do you think facial masks really work?
I use the Ole Henriksen blueberry enzyme mask from sephora and it's the only mask that has ever done what it says it will do (even proactiv mask didn't work for me). The mask is meant to be more of a moisturizing mask (not a purifying mask like QH mint julep), but it doesn't leave a greasy film on your skin or anything like that. I use Tazorac gel and it causes my normally oily skin to get very dry around the nose and mouth. I use the enzyme mask as needed when I have a flaky face and it gets rid of all my flakes and refreshes my skin. I'm not sure if that's the kind of mask you're looking for, but it's great for combo/dry skin.
