Spartan Race Obstacle Course

Am I crazy for wanting to do this?

I think I'm going to see if H will train with me for the n00b one (Spartan Sprint).

Re: Spartan Race Obstacle Course

  • I've seen a lot of military surprise homecomings. It wouldn't work on me. I always have my back to the corner and my face to the door. Looking for terrorists, criminals, various other threats, and husbands.
  • I second tough mudder.  There is one in my future.
    Shot first, questions later.

  • Mary, T did the Tough Mudder last year in November and LOVED it so much that he's doing it again this year.  I followed him along the course as a spectator.  You could totally do it if you trained...I saw so many women doing it.

  • I really want to so something like this but I feel like since I'm trying to remain injury free until at least July, hopefully October, obstacle courses are a bad idea.

  • You're not crazy.

If this scares you a bit there are plenty of different Mud Runs, Muddy Mayhems, etc all over... And the Spartan Race has different distances for different levels. IMO the hardest part is simply the running... Especially when you're all heavy from the weight of the mud :o)

Although, at the moment I'm way moer excited about the color run!

I'm trying to get a team for one of the still open days for the CP Mud Run in June. We only need one more person. Fly out! Fly out!
