What's the biggest lie you've been told?
Re: QOTD
Either that I did not spray paint a neighbor's house or that my friend's dad bought me a cassette single I came home from the mall with. I did spray paint the neighbors house and I stole the tape.
ETA: I totally read the question wrong. I thought it was the biggest lie I have told.
Biggest lies I have been told:
My ex-bf said that a huge mark on his neck was not a hickey from a girl but he and his friend Jim agreed that the first one to fall asleep would get a vacuum to their neck. Sad thing is I believed it... more than once.
Another ex-bf was very loyal to me and always around in a good not clingy way. When we broke up after 6 months it turns out that he had been dating another girl.. for over a year. I was the other girl and had absolutely no clue till after we broke up based on another lie. The other lie - My bff saw him at the mall with a blond chick, I called him and asked who he had been at the mall with earlier. He said his friend Will and Will was wearing a wig (he wore women's pleated jeans so who knows what else he may have worn). I called Will and asked if he had been at the mall with my ex earlier that day. He said no and that he hadn't seen my ex for a couple weeks. He asked why and I told him what I was told about him being at the mall wearing a blond wig. He was not happy. I called my ex back and told him I talked to his friend Will and he did not have a blond wig and was not at the mall with him earlier. What makes it worse was this all happened on Christmas Eve.
Funny thing, both guys were named Mike. After dating them back to back I swore I would never date another Mike.
I've had boyfriends lie to me by telling me that they weren't cheating on me when they were.
One of my best friends had her boyfriend tell her and all of her friends (myself included) that he had some deadly illness. Turned out that the whole thing was made up.
I'm sure there's more but I can't think of any big lies right now.
MIL lied about BIL spilling the beans about our engagement (when they weren't supposed to know either, stupid jewelry store).
My sister's multiple lies throughout her drug use were always hard, even though we all knew better.
Wives Unscripted
Otherwise aside from one of my sisters constantly lying about little things I have never found out about any huge ones.
Well looks like you were the winner in this one
Probably when my sister called me crying saying she thought she wa getting divorced because my BIl thought she was cheating on him. "I'm not, I swear. He found texts in my phone, but you know how guys can be." About ten days later he called me saying she admitted to it and things were over.
My father and stepmother would lie to me about my little sister running in my room and taking things. Turns out they were going through my stuff. Apparently it was a hobby of my pathetic stepmother.
