Lily is still peeing everywhere :(

We tried one antibiotic for a week but then go the test results back - ecoli infection in her bladder, so we switched to Clavamox for a handful of days, but she was puking all the time, so we switched again. We just finished 14 days of that and she is still peeing everywhere, plus pooped in the living room Friday, plus puked in the kitchen on Monday. I'm so discouraged :o(

Waiting for a call back form the vet now. My poor cat.

Re: Lily is still peeing everywhere :(

  • Poor Lily! She's had such a rough time recently!

I really hope she feels better soon so she can be a healthy happy kitty! (and for your sanity, too, of course!)
  • Poor kitty! That sounds awful. T&P that she's feeling better soon.

  • The vet says that given her low count on the test results for the infection, she really doesn't think it's medical anymore. So it's likely behavioral. I'm going to try confining her to my bathroom and bedroom and keeping the other cats away. She suggested a large crate, but I just can't bring myself to do it. I think I'd rather she pees all over my bedroom floor and I have to buy new carpets. She's old and my baby :(

So we'll try that and see how it goes. I'm sad to lock the kittens out again because they love to be in the same room as us so much, but if it might help Lily, it's what we will do.

Poor girl. I hope that I can somehow help her soon :(  Bought another gallon of Nature's Miracle at lunch. I should probably also buy stock in the company :-P

  • Poor Lily! Have you tried a calming collar? I feel like a few pesties have used them with good results.

I haven't. It's in my basket on Amazon but I haven't pulled the trigger. I'm worried it will stress her out since she's never had a collar on before and she gets easily freaked out. Maybe I need to give it a whirl anyway.

Last night was the first night locked in the bedroom with us and she used her box. Fingers crossed that a little bit of retraining does the trick and I can snuggle my kittens again also at night again!
