NDR - Gift for One Year Old

You would think this would be easy...but since it's for my nephew, I gotta ask.

I got him way too much stuff at Christmas (couldn't resist), but one of the items didn't come in until too late...like January late. It's a little piano (baby toy) for him to tinker on. 

Would you give something in addition to that or call it a day?

 

Update: I'm talking Babies R Us piano...not something nice I'm the cool Aunt, not a crazy one.

I appreciate the people who give one fun thing and leave it be, rather than adding a bunch of filler for the sake of doing so. 

I don't know what to do with all the filler!

Wop - The best part is it doesn't require batteries....he can bang and bang and bang on that thing alllllll day=)

As a parent, I get so much stuff that I don't know what to do with it all. And we only had the grandparents over for her birthday on purpose because I couldn't face 20 presents full of more toys and stuff she already has too much of. I am not an "excess" sort of person and the amount of kid stuff overwhelms me.

I'd just leave it at that.Unless you wanna throw in a drum

He'll love the piano.  You could always add $ for his savings/college fund.

That's good to know. Hadn't thought of books, but I imagine new books would be great period.

Especially classics and anthologies, like Dr. Seuss, Curious George, etc. Also, (this is your brother's kid, right?) if you pick something you know the parents read/liked as a kid, it's fun to re-experience your favorite childhood books as an adult.

This! I was going to say  books. Maybe a fun book with a piano in it (check amazon) to go with your piano gift.
