Re: Updated menu, thoughts/suggestions and wine pairings?

  • I think these choices sound much better, and more universally appealing.

  • I'm thinking a nice chianti actually.

and LOL when I say that all I can think of is silence of the lambs :)

Friday, December 28 2012. The day I had emergency appendix surgery in Mexico and quit smoking. Proof that everything has a good side!! DH and I are happily child-free!! No due date or toddler tickers here!! my read shelf:
Alison's book recommendations, favorite quotes, book clubs, book trivia, book lists (read shelf)
  • How many wine pairings are you looking for?

    Two?

Three? (starter, soup and main course)

Either two or three, honestly two would be best as there are only 4 adults and none of us drink that much.

  • That menu sounds delicious!

I would probably do a good Sauvignon Blanc and/or Viognier.  But that's probably because DH doesn't really like many reds and those whites shout spring time to me.

  • I'd go for a Galician (Spain) or Portuguese Torrontes, Verdelho or Albarino through the soup and then a Bordeaux Rose with the main course.

I love a Chianti but I just think it's too heavy.
