I dont get this re: cellulite
So yesterday at the gym I wax wearing shorts and getting ready to squat and I noticed dimples on my thighs, not that it was new or a surprise. I couldn't help but pinch them and I found that in one spot there was almost no fat and it was mostly skin. (Don't get me Wong, I have plenty of fat, but not in this one spot). Does your skin hold the dimple after the fat is gone? Am I deluding myself and there was more fat than it seemed? I heard once that you never lose celuite, but assumed that was crap. Anyone know?

Re: I dont get this re: cellulite
Sadly, it's not crap. Sucks!
I've heard cellulite shrinks but will never disappear....so the fat cell will shrink and be less noticeable when fat is lost, and then blow up and be more noticeable when fat is gained. It frucking sucks.

lol, that and my first response are awesome. It's a combination of autocorrect and my lack of attention/laziness.
I think building muscle will help make it appear more firm.
Think is the key word here. I'm really not sure, but think this might be true
Make bone broth a regular part of your diet (a slow cooked broth made from any type of bone: chicken, beef, fish). It's a good source of proline (collagen building block), minerals and other nutrients. I use the bones from roasted chicken frequently.
This is a random article but covers cellulite:

Gelatin is another good source of proline. These are the sort of things absent from our diets these days that used to be staples two generations ago and back.
It's not a quick fix of course and no guarantee at improvement, but it's a healthy food otherwise so it's win-win.
The long cook time actually gives it a great flavor. It has a very rich taste and to me it seems like much less salt is needed in finished products like soups, stews, sauces. Of course you strain out the bones and chuck the fat after it's done cooking - the liquid can be frozen in an ice cube tray and used just like packaged broth. But much more nutritious
I have cellulite on my calves - they are pretty much pure muscle, but you can see it sometimes. So no, it never goes away. If you have it, you have it. And it sucks. I've heard that lipo can make it appear worse - but don't quote me there. Cause otherwise..that would be a fix. But yeah - you see it on skinny girls too.
I have very bad cellulite on my thighs. Squats help. But it's not going to go away. I was about 20 pounds lighter two years ago (size 8 now) and yep, it was still there. I had heard that a lack of collagen was the problem - and that retin-a promotes collagen. So I got a tube and have been using it on my legs. I don't notice a difference.
Anyway. Sorry to be all doom and gloom, but it really freaking sucks cause there is nothing you can do about it. I see people much, much heavier than me who don't have it and it makes me mad.
