Neutral living room gray and play room paint color
Any suggestions for a neutral gray color without too many undertones for a living room. The room does have white built-in book shelves which I hope will help the gray pop. It's not a very big room, so I'd rather it be light-medium in shade. Also, I am totally lost in figuring out a color for a kids playroom. The playroom is the only point of entry to a patio area, so I don't really want it to be too colorful. A subtle yellow color perhaps? I was also considering BM Edgecomb Gray because to me it looks like a beige. Thanks so much!

I'm looking for the same
so far i'm leaning towards one of these. I'm with you, i don't want it to be beige-y
Behr - Ashes
Pratt & Lamberts - Winter Gate
Sherwin WIlliams - Mindful Gray
For gray we have Benjamin Moore's Pashmina. It looks beige on the swatch, but on the wall it's a true gray but not cold. I like that it's dark enough for white to "pop" but still very light-feeling. The previous owners had Revere Pewter in there which is just a shade or two lighter, but in that room it basically looked like a dingy white.
For the playroom, we have Benjamin Moore's Weston Flax in our bedroom. Again, it looks very beige on the swatch but in person it's a nice light yellow without being too egg-yolky or insipid.

I can't lay my hands on one of my pics, but here's a pic online of Pashmina that is true to how it looks in my house:
Thanks, all those suggestions look great! I love the Pashmina
