How much would you consider reasonable for a 3 bedroom apartment?
Re: How much would you consider reasonable for a 3 bedroom apartment?
Also - it has laundry in unit, two full bathrooms, granite countertop kitchen, the complex has a pool, sauna, jacuzzi, and fitness center. You also do not pay for heat, water, sewer, or trash removal.
Totally depends on the COL where you are. In my area (SE Mass), that would be pretty resonable, especially with heat included and the other amenities.
The cost of living "index" where I live is 104.6.
I'm paying close to $1460/month where I live now, plus trash, sewer, water, and heat. This would be a little bit of a downsize.
Something like that would cost closer to 2000/month. I live in a HCOL area though. It depends on what you really want out of your living space.
I pay a lot for a older duplix but it has a private backyard and private washer/dryer hook-up. I was willing to pay more to make life easier for my son and I.
I think that sounds reasonable based on COL where i live, since I pay 375 for a tiny studio that includes water only.
But it totally depends on your circumstances too - I mean, "reasonable" means nothing if you can't afford 1400 a month, KWIM? Maybe you need something cheaper than reasonable. (in other words, a miracle) For me, the question would be "Can I afford 1400 a month".
Totally depends on your COL. Where I live you couldn't get a one-bedroom in a decent to nice neighborhood with all those features for that price.
Based on this index and what is included I think 1300-1400 sounds like a reasonable range, maybe even a pretty good deal. The cost of living index where I'm at is around 93 and you would pay about that without having any of the utilities covered. I would just consider if the area its located in is safe or not and if that is truly in your budget.
If you want to feel better, a 3-BR would cost around $3000-3500/month here.
