As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. Thank you SO much for the suggestion of using the chisel/hammer on the backsplash.  It's working really well so far and only pulling a little drywall off with it.  I'm pretty sure I'll be able to just spackle those areas and then move on (unless using spackle is a bad idea).  Also, because it's not the entire backsplash I need removed, this method allows me to isolate areas really easily which should save me a ton of time.

  • Good I'm glad it worked out for you!  The right tools make all the difference...that is why we have so many LOL.  Doing a little spackling sounds so much easier than tearing out drywall doesn't it?  You'll have to AW your new backsplash when you get it done.
  • I certainly will.  I actually started it many, many weeks ago but part of it was pretty shotty so I wanted to rip it out and do it the right way.  Fun times!
