Fish tacos with flounder? Yes?

If so, does anyone have a recipe?  If not, can you suggest something interesting to do with flounder that isn't fried or breaded?

Re: Fish tacos with flounder? Yes?

  • Fish tacos generally call for a "meatier" fish than flounder, something dense like mahi-mahi or grouper rather than a delicate and thin filet like flounder.  That said, it would still taste good, I think - just don't manhandle your flounder too much.

Flounder is great broiled or baked in foil, frying and/or breading it is one of many options for this mild-tasting, flaky, white fish.

I don't know, I make fish tacos with tilapia and that's a light, delicate fish.  I think flounder would be similar.

Do you? I've never made them only eaten them in restaurants and it's always been a thicker, denser filet.

I did say that flounder would work.

  • Flounder is something we catch on the regular around here, and have made fish tacos with them before.
