Painting appliances?
We are buying a house and need to buy the kitchen appliances for it minus the hood for the stove. It's brand new and just stupid to replace, but it's white and we are getting black appliances (our microwave is black and I don't like white appliances). Has anyone ever painted their appliances? I was told you can and that they make special paint for it, but I don't want to screw it up.

I did it once to an old oven. Unfortunately, it inexplicably bubbled on part even though I had cleaned and sanded it well.
On something brand new that hasn't had a chance for cooking grease or anything else to build up, I'd give it a shot. Either that, or consider selling it on CL and putting the money toward a black one.
