HIMYM 4/16 question
I just saw this week's episode. At the end when Ted walked into the bar wearing a dress he says " Okay now we're even", and Barney and Lily were hugging. Did anyone else remember that scene from an episode when Ted was talking to his kids and he kept getting the story wrong? He was telling the story about Barney and Lilly getting in a fight. One of them didn't want to hang out with the other one. Barney called Lily fat and Barney saved Lily from a getting hit in the street. Ted walked in then too wearing the dress. I think it might of been the episode with the mermaid theory.

The creators said in an interview that they wrote that scene into "The Mermaid Theory" without having any kind of plan behind it. That way they would have a challenge ahead of them when it came time to write "Now We're Even" and figure out why Ted would be wearing a dress.
Yea, I remembered it immediately when Barney said the thing about the dress. Then when I saw Ted in the green dress, I knew that's exactly what it was from!
I think I just saw that episode as a rerun recently, so that helped.
