Can I use a regular curtain rod here?
I have some blackout curtains that has this 'wide pocket' rod. Can I order a regular rod for these or do I need to use the ones that came with them?

Re: Can I use a regular curtain rod here?
Totally agree with PP.
We have some black out / temperature control curtains in our current rental. We didn't take the time to make sure the rod was well connected to the wall and they have been slowing falling down for 6 months or more. We haven't taken the time to deal with them though since we'll be moving in another few months and it seems like a waste of time. They do tend to be very heavy and if you plan to open and close them often they will play havoc on a normal rod if it isn't attached well.
