Newbie Decorating Q - Home Journal
I have recently moved into a new home. I really want to make it look nice, lived in, and well put together. I have two kids and two dogs so I have to keep that in mind when picking out decor and arranging furniture.
I guess my question is...(and it does kind of relate to the above
) do you keep a home journal for your decoration ideas, paint swatches, floor plans, etc? What does this look like? How is it organized? Is it worth even keeping something like this?
Note: I do keep a journal/notebook for household things such as warranties, meal planning menus, phone #'s, etc. This would be different. Maybe I am just obsessed with binders. Totally possible.

Re: Newbie Decorating Q - Home Journal
Pinterest is about as close as I'll get to journaling about my house.
I used to keep an inspiration notebook, yes. It was just magazine pages in sheet protectors. MIL has something similar. My mom puts her clippings in a decorative storage box.
Pinterest is the new way to do it.

Thinking of doing cosmetic updates to a dated home? These were our costs.
I love me some Pinterest. I guess I will just keep my boards as inspiration, that's a good idea. I don't know why I needed another binder to reference, and more stuff it would take me weeks to file!
Thanks!
