How is your dad doing? Any news on your friend?

Hi Dana. Thanks for checking in. My dad is home today. Still waiting to pass the stone. My mom said he was good until about 3:45 this morning when the pain began again. Unfortunately, it takes about 30 minutes for his pain medication to work. Hopefully this will all be over soon.
As for my friend, she's going through a pheresis treatment, where they take all of the blood out of your body, put it through a machine to clean it, and then put it back in. She seemed to be in good spirits last night when I talked to her but I know she wants to get out of the hospital. I don't blame her.

I hope your dad passes his stone soon. Those suckers really hurt. Do the want him to try to catch the stone? I know I have to avoid eating a lot of spinach because the help my stones form.

Kidney stones are the suck. My uncle gets them a lot.
I just want to say, I hope your friend gets better. I'm in remission for a different platelet disorder, ITP, where your body just starts attacking the platelets for no reason and I understand how scary it can be. I hope the treatment works and she's on the mend.
