Big Brother conspiracy theorists are gonna love this
In just a few years there is word that some data recording boxes are going to be mandatory in new cars, according to reports like this.
OnStar/ Tracking devices sure can be handy if your car is stolen or if you get in accident and can't call for help, but I don't much like the idea of it being mandatory. I wonder what kind of penalties they are going to enforce for those who try to remove them. Interesting to see what this news will bring in the next few years, thoughts?

Good thing I'll likely never be able to buy a new car.
::proudly looks at 01 Prius::
It'll probably bring the market way down.
Used car sales will be on the rise and people fixing old cars like new will increase
That's why I refuse to get OnStar. I don't like the thought of a computer controlling my car.
Did anyone see that movie with Shia LeBeuf in it where this computer took over everything? Eagle Eye, I think it was called. Crazy stuff, but something that I can totally see happening. Give me my 98 Jeep Wrangler any day.
I'm fine with a tracking device to find stolen cars or missing persons. I don't, however, want my private conversations in my car to be recorded.
This made me LOL.
