Can I ask you a swimming question?
It was suggested to me that I join the Masters swimming club here. Do you do Masters as part of the swimming you do, or do you just train on your own? Have you ever done Masters? Any opinions about it?
I have swum in the past, though never competitively (I dove in college, but would do workouts with the swimmers a lot). I am a good swimmer and I like it (though I effing hate breaststroke). Eventually I want to work up to doing sprint tri's. I'd be interested to hear your take on Masters.

Re: SBP
I think I'm mostly intimidated because I've never really swum in an organized setting before where I'm officially doing laps and sets for time...and I don't want to be the slow girl holding everyone up. I realize there's probably a slow lane, but I'm worried I'm going to be too slow for the slow lane.
I know you said the programs are all different, but do the coaches actually coach all the swimmers? Like could I expect to get help in making my strokes better and going faster?
I'm really really interested...but intimidated. I know the masters team here is currently housing a significant number of swimmers training for the Olympics, and we've had a lot of Olympians come through the university/program here...so I'm not exactly going to be swimming with leisure people. I know it's a pretty competitive program. Thus, the intimidation. I still want to do it though. I just don't know what to actually expect.
