XP: lurker needs red wine help

We are going to a BBQ tonight and the Host's asked everyone to bring 2 bottle of wine, 1 red and 1 white. I have the white covered. I am more of a white drinker so I need a recommendation for something not too expensive and goes with burgers, and chicken.

  • Mondavi's Meritage is a really great blend that we get a lot. I think it goes well with different foods.

Our favorite go-to less than $10 red wine is Ravenswood's Zinfandel. We always try to make sure and have a few bottles on hand! The Mondavi Meritage is also one we enjoy.

  • Mark's West Pino Noir is good too.

There are lots of decent ones at Trader Joe's if you have one near you.
