Best type of hanger to hang pants and jeans in a closet
What is the best/strongest? Dh's pants will probably go on the lower rod in our new closet (so they would need to be folded in half). Wooden hanger with the bar on the bottom? Something else?
Re: Best type of hanger to hang pants and jeans in a closet
I asked H and he prefers the wooden hanger with the bar if he has to use a hanger. Our old master closet, we had an accessory that was a slide-out pants hanger - it was like a giant comb and you just dropped the pants over each "tooth". Dude, best invention EVER.
We have hangars like this.
Yes this is what we want to have in our new master closet! You can get them from IKEA in two different sizes but I think we're going to try to make our own with drawer slides and some dowels because we'd like a wood one.
I'm late to the game - but when we redid all our walk-in closets last year, we decided to bite the bullet and throw away all the CRAP hangers we had been hoarding/keeping. We bought all wooden hangars with the bar across from Ikea. Now each closet has all matching hangars. It looks so much better. Also - it helps to declutter in general - my hubby has too many pants in his closet and it was all squished. Once I decluttered for him, his pants hang so nicely and look great when he takes them out.
Good luck!
