Hi guys!
We are currently getting granite for our kitchen and I'm wondering if putting a tan-brown granite with cherry cabinets and maple floors will be too dark or will it work since the granite has brown in it? I'm torn because my husband likes it but I'm leaning towards something like a giallo since its lighter but it's way more expensive. What do you guys think?
Re: Granite help!
We are currently picking granite for our kitchen too. We had originally planned to do tan brown, and still might, but the cabinet maker showed us another option. It's called "sapphire blue". It has the same general look as tan brown but is a little lighter. In the brown spots and has some blue-ish tones which I think are really nice.
Here's a comparison photo that I took to help us make the decision with our cabinet color. We won't be doing hardwood floors so we will lighten the room up with our tile selection.

That one does look better...I think that using a lighter backsplash will really help as well. Thanks for the help!
Happy to help! I hope your granite suppler can offer something like the one above. I know for us, it was in the same price range as well which is nice.

We have dark cabinets and New Venetian Gold granite, which is quite similar to the giallo ornamental. I LOVE the lighter granite in contrast with the darker cabinets.
