I have an inherited double chin (No, really, it runs in the family. If I weigh over 120 pounds I have double chin.) and I HATE it like the devil. Chin lipo isn't gonna happen. Ever. So I would like a way of sorta hiding it with a haircut.
I have read that short hair makes a double chin not stand out as much because it draws more attention to other facial features, but I think that is the opposite of what it does and also I look terrible with very short hair. I can get away with just above the shoulders but that's about it. So I have no idea what to do at this point. I used to have very long hair (to my waist) and when I wore it hot rolled my chin was pretty much invisible because the hair was so big it made everything else look small, but with a baby that grabs hair I can't wear my hair like that again for a long time and I chopped my hair off to shoulder length.
So I need something long enough for ponytail (at least) but that still de-emphasizes the chin area.
Anyone with some tips?
Re: Haircut/Style that disguises a double chin
I was actually thinking of the slightly longer version- not spiky in the back- but shorter in the back and angled longer in the front. There is a popular pic of Jen.nifer Anni.ston with the "grown out" angled bob.
NO! An angled bob is NOT the Kate Gosselin haircut lol. And I agree that an angled bob might be the way to go. It should make your whole face look more narrow.
I too have inherited this trait and feel your pain! I find that the longer my hair is the less it shows. I have layered hair almost to my bra line hair with a slight face frame. My hairstylist said something about how my face looked thinner (nice way of saying it...) last time I was in.
Best of luck!
