Weekend Plans!

After preparing most of my baked goodies last night, I am full swing ahead for the party tonight, I just have a little bit more food prep to do when I get home and one more batch of regular cookies to pop in the oven.   My house smelled soooo good last night!

Friday:  OOT friend comes in, we get ready to party, 6-10 people come over and take over my house until late.

Saturday:   friend + we are going to do some fun stuff like going to the gun range, going out to eat on a patio for mexican food and 'ritas, and going out with a group for some live music in the evening.

Sunday:  we don't have anything firm, but it's Earth Day and my cousin's birthday so I think I might do a little recycling/exchanging at the stores and stop by her house for a birthday greeting.

Re: Weekend Plans!

  • Not to much happening. Laundry tonight. Working on my paper tomorrow. And then Sunday we're going to try for another craft day. Should be a nice, lazy, weekend.

  • DH's tire came off on the way to work this morning so he'll spend the weekend (maybe tonight or maybe just tomorrow?) fixing that.

We're staying at my parents this weekend to dog-sit while they're up north. I'm annoyed that they asked me yesterday because I wouldn't have made the plans I did (I love my dog and am more than happy to spend the weekend with him but...)

Saturday: Hiking with a friend, seeing my 10 y/o cousin's dance competition (apparently she's really good. Hence competitive), and then going mall-walking with a friend in the evening. DH will basically just be at my parents doing the car thing and hanging with the dog.

Sunday: Hanging out with DH and the pup (he's almost 3 y/o so not really a pup) all day + studying for finals.

  • Tongiht--dinner/hh with a couple of friends.

Tomorrow--I need to have blood drawn in the morning, then auditions in the afternoon for the kids show. And probably just a lowkey movie night with my husband.

Sunday--maybe going to a winery or two with my sister and her bf. If not, just getting things done around the house.

  • DG, the nice lazy weekends are sometimes the best ones!

Mils, sorry about the last minute dog sitting and the tire situation, hopefully those go smoothly.   I actually like watching dance competitions, my sis was on the drill team and I always made it a point to go to her shows.  She remembers and appreciates that I showed up to support her and I really enjoy watching the young talent and routines they came up with!   Hopefully you enjoy the experience, too, for your cousin.    Mall walking made me LOL, b/c I picture blue haired grannies with sweatpants when I hear that.    I am sure you do it with much more style.

Definitely. I'm not going to complain because we have two weddings to go to the first two weekends in May that are both out of town (3 hour drives). I'll enjoy this weekend for sure!

  • Mostly a lazy weekend for me.  I have a trail race tomorrow morning, and I should clean the house, but other than that we have nothing planned.
  • Tonight - We're going to a local Mexican restaurant for appetizers and margaritas, then off to a little house party.  We are fully stocked for whatever may happen tonight - that's a huge weight lifted off because for a minute there, we weren't too sure - I might crash there so I packed an overnight bag just in case.

Saturday - I'm going to clean up a little bit in the morning. I really really really want to see Chicago at the botanical gardens but I'm going to go with the flow. If it happens, sweet. If not, no biggie. We'll be going to our neighboring towns Spring Fest. It's cute little festival. They play too much country, but they have really cool things for sell and some game stuff.

Sunday - I'm planning on going to my parents house for brunch. We'll just eat, drink, and play games. A perfect Sunday.

  • This weekend is founders day weekend in our tiny town so there is a good chance we're doing that festival and the reggae festival in town that's all we'll be doing

  • Nothing planned once again.

  • Pi, I really wanted to come there for ReggaeFest but then I realized it was the same w/e that we had a guest.  Boooo, but whatevs.

Stellar, sounds like a nice weekend there, especially the Sat and Sun plans,  I hope you make it to the botanical gardens!

Maybe by then you'll even be able to stay with us!

My mom has 7 siblings so I have a billion cousins. The girl cousins are fairly all close (and close in age) except for the 10 y/o one. (next youngest are 17 y/o twins). So I really want to make an effort to bond with her. And I have always thought dance competitions are cool/unique when they do stuff I cannot.

And as far as mall walking... the mall nearest to me is basically built for walkers. It's an oval shape, and .8 mile if you just walk the main hallway in the oval shape but 1.2 miles(?) if you walk the exit corridors as well. I don't care what I wear, as long as I have tennis shoes on. And the friend I'm going with is a talker who is trying to lose weight but is not physically active at all so this is the 'only' option. However, we're going on a Saturday night. So it's just going to be filled with teeny-bopper children galore who feel rebellious being out without their parents...I'm not that excited.

Mmmm Mexican! Have fun tonight Wink
And the Spring Fest sounds cute. I like those local type things (sorry about too much country though)

  • Tonight: dinner and a movie at home

    Saturday: yoga, packing, dinner out

Sunday: flying to New Orleans for a conference and going out to dinner with colleagues at night

  • Tonight - hanging out with my mom, making chicken alfredo for dinner and maybe having a few drinks. I've felt crummy, and this week has been long so I'm just looking to relax and get to bed early.

Saturday - Garage sales in the morning, painting furniture, and maybe mattress shopping. That night I'm meeting a friend at the climbing gym to spend a few hours bouldering/leading/etc.

Sunday - Moving day. My mom and her husband are helping me move in the morning, and then I'll be making a few stops at the store for food and whatnot, staying there that night... Hoping I find a mattress and all that Saturday, or else I'll be on an inflatable til I get one! Lol.

  • Tonight:  Drinks with H and a bunch of coworkers since a former coworker is in town.

Tomorrow:  Errands in the morning, maybe some belated 420 baking, watching baseball (Yanks-Sox this weekend - it will get tense in our house).

Sunday:  Relaxing and not leaving the house.  It's supposed to be crappy out anyway.

  • Friday - HH tonight, then S is meeting me for dinner.

Saturday - Go to my niece's lacrosse game, then take both nieces back to our place to hang out for a bit. We made reservations for Rock n' Bowl, and we'll probably hit up Buffalo Wild Wings before that.

Sunday - Take my nieces back home, then probably just go home and relax/nap.  I need to start on laundry so I can pack for vacation!

  • I'm not entirely sure, but I'm hoping to feel good enough to go out to dinner with friends tonight.

Tomorrow we're having people over to watch the hockey game (Go CAPS!).

Sunday we were supposed to go to a chili and beer festival, but it will depend on how my stupid ankle is feeling.
