ok, what about THIS chandelier for over our pub table?
It is $329 (gulp) at pottery barn. At 20" in diameter it should be good size over our 36"x36" table. The table is right by lots of windows that get a ton of light and so the crystals should play off that nicely. I could also replace the curtain finalies with similar round crystals to tie them in (if I ever get around to the $$$$ it'll cost to redo those window treatments)
I'm looking for a "wow" piece. What do you think?

Thinking of doing cosmetic updates to a dated home? These were our costs.
I kind of thought this too. The two choices you showed us were very different from each other. However, I like this one much better.
I third this. I love this one, but is it the direction you want the space to go.

I think our style is transitional...or eclectic. I really don't know. It definitely isn't formal, country, contemporary, or strictly from one one catalogue. It isn't casual either. So that leaves the two options mentioned above! We have decor items from our global travels: Europe, Middle East, Southwest U.S, Brazil, Egypt....
Our livingroom is more transitional and is open space to the kitchen. Furniture is leather and the tables have a distressed finish and rounded legs.
The pub table is from World Market and I haven't picked the linens yet. However I have chosen the casual linens for our Middle East inspired diningroom.
this is our WM pub table
and the cabinet nearby that holds our cookbooks and displays some stuff
and the casual diningroom linens. But I need to choose ones for the pub table now, along with seat cushions. I have these off-white ones (pictures below) for the diningroom and was thinking of getting two more for the pub table.
So I think I have some leeway with the chandelier but don't want to go too formal. I dolike the one I found above and the cheaper alternative posted above as well. Do you think it could work or is it too formal or not a good match in general?
