I get nothing for being average...
I'm looking for scholarships and meet none of the requirements. I'm just too average. I thought I found one but wait - you must have a visual impairment. Anyone want to poke me in the eye?
fwiw, my sister and I have talked about this before. We've always been average. I played travel soccer but I was just average. I did other extracurriculars but was still just average.
The only non-average thing about me is that I am 21 and married...
Re: I get nothing for being average...
well, I am sure there is something that makes you more than just average as a person, but when it comes to college stuff I completely understand. Maybe you can apply for some academic scholarships? Keep trying, there are a ton out there anbd maybe you will get lucky and find a great one.
Not in MS. Especially for half Hispanic white girls. LOL
I hope you don't mean this in the way it is written. Minorities are not automatically below average.
NO! Yikes. No! Shoot, crap, how do I explain what I meant? Like... white people are everywhere and the percentage of minorities is less than the percentage of white people? Yeah...
--- Except I totally learned about how white people are going to be the next minority since there are so many interracial couples these days (which is awesome)
Did I save myself? Do you hate me now? I wholeheartedly agree that minorities are not automatically below average.
Really? Maybe I can try to re-look at some of the Hispanic ones I saw.
P.S. There's a "dolphin" type of scholarship.... but it's not the dolphin you think. It's for children of Navy SEALs. I giggled and thought it was cute/creative.
It's all good. I get what you meant - I just wanted to make sure.
Maybe I'm just searching it wrong. I've been doing it by state, but that's about it. There is a bunch of rural-type or religious scholarships. I'll admit, I haven't looked that hard. Plus this fall is the first time I'll be officially "full-time" so that had a lot to do with it.
If you find any info on it, please pass it along. You'd be a life saver.
Good, because I love me some Shemar Moore... and I know he's smart
When I looked for scholarships I would get FURIOUS.
I didn't qualify for anything because i didn't eff up my life. If I had gotten pregnant and not gotten married I would get so much money it's ridiculous!
Totally. And my degree is very generic (Wellness, Health Promotion, Injury Prevention) but I haven't decided on my concentration or minor... but since health/wellness is so generic I don't qualify for the specific health-related scholarships. Grrr.
