I am going to see the Russian Ballet perform Cindarella on Saturday with the girls. I wanted to go out and buy a cute outfit but I really have no idea what I want to wear.
I am going to use these as inspiration but I don't know if I will be able to find anything like them. Any suggestions on where to find something similar or a different outfit rec.

Re: Ballet Question PIP
Not crazy about the second picture because she looks like she should be in the ballet, but I love the first picture! I wish I could wear that right now. F21 and Target have some long maxi skirts. They may not be as flowy though.
You can try Bebe, Cache, or Arden B for a similar top.
I really like the first skirt. The 2nd is a little bit too literal with the slip underneath, and the top is weird. I love the 1st top as well, but you'll probably want to bring something to cover up or have something a bit dressier.
The skirt you can get at American Apparel if you have one near you:

I've seen similar skirts at Forever21 as well.
H&M may have some cute things...just saw this dress:

Really? I haven't seen it in the store yet, just online. I don't wear pink so I wouldn't buy it for myself, but I think its cute for someone who does, haha. That's too bad it fits so weird...lol @ skirt around boobs.

I used to go to the ballet a lot and now go about 3-4 times a year. I personally would not take such a literal intepretation.
At evening shows, most people dress in almost black tie (or black tie) depending on what the feel of the company and theatre is.
At afternoon shows, I have always worn something similar to what i wore to afternoon weddings and never had an issure sticking out.
Personally-- both of these are a little too casual/weirdly like you are trying to look like a balerina for my taste, but maybe it is because i am older than you:)

I'm going to have to agree with the "just wear a nice dress" posters. You are going TO the ballet. You are not IN the ballet.
Haha, how funny. The director of my (contemporary) dance company just bought this dress for me to wear as my costume. It is short waisted. Cute, though.
