Anyone going to yard sales tomorrow?
Last year I started getting into it and now I love it! I got an awesome robins egg blue bookshelf that was handmade last year, and a bunch of random decor pieces including some pottery barn vases.
Last weekend I scored a bunch of toys for the daycare including some Ikea plastic bins, and a huge brand new pizza pan for $2.

Re: Anyone going to yard sales tomorrow?
I'll be at our city's farmer's market, so no yard sales for me. But I don't get up early enough for the good sales apparently. AND they start on Thursdays here! Ridiculousness.
On a side note, my neighbors must have a permanent yard sale because they open it up every morning while I'm off to work (around 8 a.m.) and start pulling stuff out. I have yet to see anyone buy their thrift store crap.

That's how it is by us too. We were surprised to learn this a few years ago!
I don't normally hit up yard sales but I know once we have little ones I probably will.
Speaking of yard sales . . anyone planning to watch the new show "I brake for yard sale"? Starts tonight on HGTV.

Yes! A lot of people here have them on Th, Fri, and Sat, so I feel like all the good stuff is gone by the time Saturday rolls around. Every once in a while in the summer I get out of work early enough to troll the neighborhoods on Friday afternoons.
Seriously what is the point of a Thursday (or even Friday) yard sale??? Especially in April? The children are in school. The people are at work.
Also why do people have yard sales from 7 am to 1030am?? Why are you closing your yard sale? Isn't the point to sell your stuff? You closing means that someone might not buy your ugly couch for $200.
I guess I slept through D&R 101: Yard Sale Tactics.
