Where do you get your outdoor furniture?

Hi!  I'm new here.  DH and I are looking for furniture for our screened porch.  We've never had outdoor space to decorate, and I'm so lost.  Any tips?  Most importantly, where would you buy outdoor furniture?  TIA!

Re: Where do you get your outdoor furniture?

  • We have a 6 person table with umbrella from HD.  It's the Martha Stewart line.  Are you looking for casual seating or a table and chairs?  I would look at HD, Lowes (have a bistro table from there that has held up very well), HomeGoods, Target, Walmart, and local stores too.  I would also look around online....Overstock, etc.  GL!

  • All of our outdoor furniture is the Allen & Roth line from Lowe's.  Our  set is metal but looks like wood from a distance.  It was pricey, and a lot more than I had planned to spend on outdoor furniture.  However, it's lasted through 3 seasons of heavy rains and high winds (we live in the midwest)  and still looks brand new.  I knew from hearing horror stories from neighbors that we did not want a glass top table.
  • It really depends on your budget.

We recently bought ours froms Samsclub.com

In the past we bought a set from the local grocery store.

  • We decided to upgrade a couple years and bought a set from Costco. It's great. Pricier than HD, Lowes, etc., but cheaper than patio stores. We needed a weird size that wasn't available in the cheaper sets, sadly.
  • Thanks a lot for all the replies.  We haven't even decided what kind of set we want.  I'll go to some of the stores you mentioned today and see how it goes.  Thanks!
  •  We got our set from Sears.  Cheap and simple, just like we were looking for :-)
  • Craigslist. I swear people never want to take it with them, when they move. I scored six chairs, large table and umbrella, For under a $100. :)

  • Our table and chairs for dining are from Lowe's (Allen and Roth). Our couch and comfy chairs are from Target.
  • We got ours at Target.  We went to every store imaginable, and the set we found there was really our favorite, and bonus that it didn't break the bank.
