Hi all!
What are your weekend plans?
We are painting the laundry room today. Hopefully it won't be too much of a PITA with being a small space and having to pull out the washer and dyer. Should be interesting.
Tonight we're going out with friends and tomorrow we will probably work in the yard.

Re: Weekend Plans?
DH is on his way to pick up a skid steer to take out all the concrete in the backyard. We are completely redoing the backyard. He hopes to have everything demoed and formed up to pour a patio next weekend. I am so excited. I will try to post pics along the way.
Sounds very cool! Can't wait to see pictures
DH and I are leaving the house in another 20 or so to meet up with our builders wife to select tile, carpet and our backsplash. Shouldn't take longer than an hour or so and then we'll run by the house to see the progress. I've been out there several times this week but H had a long week at work and didn't get out there any.
I only hope I don't have doubts when we get home from making selections today like I did when we did cabinets and granite. Thankfully, all that is squared away now and I feel good about our choices.
Best of luck on all your projects today!

I'm probably going to mulch the rest of the yard and maybe buy some jasmine to grow up our fence. It's blooming all over town right now, and I need some of that! It would be right outside our bedroom window, so if we opened the window at night, it would be something close to heaven with that scent coming in the window. I also need to take the down comforter out of the duvet; it's getting too warm for thick down! I might shop around for a new coverlet today so that we have a thin extra layer.
At some point, I'm going to drag DH to a new Indian place I've been wanting to try.
I need to work for a few hours to catch up on some stuff
I hate working on weekends, but it's flex time, so I shouldn't complain.
Once the husband wakes up, we are heading out to our nearest IKEA and the DSW that is holding my boat shoes for me. Tonight, we'll probably hang out at home, watch a movie and make dinner.
Tomorrow, he works so I will go to church with my aunt and uncle. Then I have to get to work on sewing elastic for tutus - the flowers of the Golden Afternoon can't perform without their tutus (I direct middle school plays).
HI! Let me know how your laundry room work goes. We'll be doing that soon, too.
Last night I started packing up the basement. I filled 1 huge box of trash and 2 huge boxes of old can of paint to dispose of. Gathered some items up that we wont be needing, packed everything up, and got it out of the house.
(Some items went to my mom, some to my sister, some to donation place).
I pulled weeds outside, and then took a long nap! SIL is due any second and I wanted to be rested in case she went into labor over night. lol
Tomorrow not much going on, prob staying home and relaxing. Might list some more items on CL.
I painted the kids bedrooms today. DH pulled the carpeting out of the guest room, one of the kids bedrooms and the hallway. We changed the locks on our new house and contractors demo'd the bathroom. We also managed to move a few carloads of stuff from the rental.
Tomorrow, DH will finish ripping out carpet and we'll decide on what to do with the hardwood underneath. Looks like it needs repair in two places, plus sanding and refinishing in the hallway. Luckily the flooring is perfect in the guest room, so we can move in before doing anything about the floors - we'll just put the kids in the guest room until they are done.
I am spray painting a crazy cool chandelier for Kate's room that was left in the house by the previous owners (woot freebie!)
I am also going to be going through the couch cushions hoping to find a few thousand Gs
