DH and i are re-doing our kitchen on a budget.... our countertops are just a few years old (previous owner) but the blue laminate (while in good condition) just isn't my style!
So I'm using the Gianni Granite Kit in Chocolate Brown to update them!! I also want to change out the brackets/hinges on the cabinets with brushed nickel (rusty brass is ugly!)... and ultimately, I'd LOVE to paint/glaze the cabinets a darker brown (not a fan of the light builder-grade 20 year old ones we currently have)... but we have SOOO many cabinets that I just don't know if I have the patience for it!!
We'll see how the cabinets look after the counters are finished- maybe I won't have to do them... we'll see!

I'll post another update later today after I apply the mineral paints... and I'll definitely do a B/A post once everything has cured and the painter's tape is removed!!

Awesome start! That bathroom redo looks amazing.
I think it would make a big difference in the look of the kitchen if you put handles on the drawers and doors. Maybe it would change it enough that you wouldn't feel the need to stain/paint. At least for awhile.
After 1st round of minerals (too dark for my taste/light cabinets):
After 2nd (and final) round of minerals- MUCH better:
