I am looking at these curtains for our living room and making a valance out of them for the dining room. http://www.lowes.com/pd_117722-710-X35432195ZBG_4294788358+4294817628_4294937087_?productId=3593548&Ns=p_product_prd_lis_ord_nbr%7C0%7C%7Cp_product_qty_sales_dollar%7C1&pl=1¤tURL=%2Fpl_Panel_4294788358%2B4294817628_4294937087_%3FNs%3Dp_product_prd_lis_ord_nbr%7C0%7C%7Cp_product_qty_sales_dollar%7C1&facetInfo=Panel
I want matching or similar rugs for the rooms. I need 10 x 12 for the living room and 5 x 7 for the dining room.
I LOVE this but it doesn't come in a large enough size for the living room. http://www.rugsusa.com/rugsusa/rugs/rugs-usa-moderno-trellis/ocean/200HJSAN3B-508.html
Here's an old picture of our living room. Still have the same furniture.

Thanks for any help!! (Sorry, I can't insert pictures and clickable links with my browser)
ETA - Has anyone done a carpet remnant rug? It looks like that would be a lot more cost effective considering my tastes tend to bring up $1000+ rugs which is way out of budget. With my couch and floor color, what color rug do you think would go best with those curtains? Do you think chocolate brown would look good? I'm having trouble picturing everything.
Re: Help finding a rug
You can probably order something with that pattern by the square yard and have it bound. That's what I did for my family room.
I had an 8 x 10 made with the edges bound. I paid about $300 at Home Depot. It was ready within a week.

Love the curtains! I wouldn't do a matching rug in the same pattern though. I also wouldn't put the same rug in two different rooms. Thats just me though.
I started thinking the same thing. I was thinking a solid rug in the living room, but I'm not sure what color. We have a chocolate brown leather recliner in there and a chocolate brown rug by the backdoor. We have two young boys, so a darker colored rug is tempting... But would it match those curtains? And I have no idea what sort of pillows would work.
And then I could use the rug I linked in the dining room with a valance for that window. I can't do panels in the dining room because food ends up on them...
Do you think that would look ok?

I love the curtains and the rug....just not together.
A dark, solid colored rug will show spills and dirt much more than a patterned rug will. I think I would look for something tone on tone or a blend of colors that doesn't have a strong pattern that competes with the curtains.
I had a carpet remnant bound and used it in a bedroom in our previous house
Have you checked www.Overstock.com for a rug?
Yes. but I went with a solid. To hide dog hair I got one that is a frieze like fiber. Actually, the name of the color is called Cajun. lol.
It's from the Martha Stewart line at Home Depot.
Thanks for the input. Do you think you could show an example of what type of rug would look good with those curtains? I'm really having a hard time figuring out what to get.

This color is pretty.

I'd bring the curtains to the store and try to match the blue.
I prefer this type of fiber to regular carpet (which shows everything):
