your favorite kitchen storage containers and kitchen towels
I got glass lock containers a few years ago but they are REALLY hard to close. I have a couple of rubbermaid stain shield ones that I really like, but they've discontinued the kind I like. So I'm looking for a new set. Lock & lock is one option I"m considering. Thoughts from people who have them?
I'm also looking for new kitchen towels. I got some from Crate & Barrel and they are NOT absorbent at all.

Re: your favorite kitchen storage containers and kitchen towels
I have a ton of Lock & Lock, and I love them. I get sets from QVC:

You can also get them from Amazon, and I've seen them in Asian supermarkets. I have never had a problem with leaks, and the bugs stay out of my food.
Microfiber kitchen towels are super-absorbent:

For things like flour, etc. I love the OXO pop tops. I buy individual ones, not the bulk pack. It is more expensive, but I get the sizes I want.
I also love my pyrex with lids. I have all different sizes, including the mixing bowls. Works great for food storage as well.
For kitchen towels I use the Calphalon ones from BB&B (I'm a Calphalon junkie though) and the anti-bacterial ones from BB&B as well.
I agree with PP. I love my Pyrex with lids! I store things in them in our fridge and freezer. I also take my lunch in them. I'm slowly trying to phase out our old BPA filled plastic containers.
For kitchen towels, I always pick some up at Home Goods and TJ Maxx. I have some microfiber ones that I like for wiping. I was gifted a Stonewall Kitchen one a while ago and it is DH's favorite (since he is often doing the dishes since I do the cooking!) I love Crate and Barrel, but there dish towels are basically a decoration.
