I read the article because I was amused over some one thinking it was okay to bite another person over a parking space. The I read the comments and they made me really sad.

I know that racism is still around, and people are bigoted, but this is ridiculous.

My account with the local online newspaper got banned because I went OFF on some racist and homophobic bigots in the comments section.  That was ridiculous.  I got banned for telling off some a-holes.  Yay, Kentucky!

I suppose I need to stop reading comments. I was expecting some amusing posts about people biting people, not the mess I wound up reading.

Man, those comments aren't your garden variety racism, that was some hard core, KKK/neo-Nazi type shyte.

One of the other commenters blamed a link from the Drudge Report and I have to think it was due to a link from something, somewhere because I can't believe that 99% of the comments to a regular newspaper story would ordinarily be SO racist.
