Help choosing paint color PIP heavy

We are in the process of doing some much needed updates to our bathrooms in the hopes of putting our house on the market in the next 2-3 years. I will probably break this into 2-3 posts as not to overwhelm. I guess my biggest concern is that while I might like the colors, will it turn off potential buyers? OK, here goes. The first is the hall/guest bath which DD uses. As a potential buyer, would you like any of them, or should I keep trying? DH is afraid they are too dark.

NOt sure why this flipped sideways, sorry

  • i would go neutral and since you only have one neutral color, i do think it is a smidge too dark. if you could go a step down from it, you should still have more depth than the beige you have going on now, but not be too dark.

i wish i could say that blue is a universally pleasing enough color to recommend the lighter of the two you have on your walls for samples. but, when we were trying to sell our house, we had to even paint a light blue bathroom a neutral color to get the sale.

  • Ditto. I would go neutral, and a couple shades lighter than the dark brown color you have up. That's too dark for a small space. I heard that blue is a bad color for resale. I have no idea why, but it's interesting and I would stick with a color that appeals to the masses for resale.
  • I have never head that about blue. Interesting.

  • I don't know how true that is, but it stuck with me all the same. People are weird and turned off by strange things during sales. So I would err on the side of caution.
  • I think all of those colors are nice, but if my HGTV watching has taught me anything it's that the general public is lame and can't fathom living anyhwere that isn't beige (not matter how great the colors are).
