Does anyone make homemade fried chicken?
DH has been talking about fried chicken for weeks now and I got everything to make him some but there are so many different recipes out there. We have a deep fryer but I don't care either way what we use. His request is that the skin is crispy and the inside is juicy
Thanks for any recipes you may suggest!
Re: Does anyone make homemade fried chicken?
I soak mine in buttermilk that I season with hot sauce for a few hours then dredge in flour that I season with salt, pepper and cayenne. Sometimes I add Cajun seasoning too. It's important to season your flour WELL, it may seem like a lot of salt or whatever but the end result will be yum. Sometimes I double dip (back into buttermilk and then flour for a thicker crust). That's a personal taste preference. I
usually fry mine in my cast iron skillet but you can totally use a deep fryer.
