Dog limping

Yesterday I took my two year old pup to the vet for her regular checkup.  She got the routine blood drawn, vaccines, and nails trims and was fine all day long.  This morning when she woke up she was limping pretty bad on her left front leg.  I can't see anything physically wrong that would be causing this and she lets me touch around her leg without getting upset or acting in pain.  The limp does not slow her down, she will still jump around, walk, run like normal, except with the limp.

Have any of you ever experienced this?  How long would you wait before bringing her into the vet?  Again, she shows no signs of pain, or else I would have taken her right away.

Thanks for your help!

Re: Dog limping

  • I have experienced it after getting blood drawn and shots for Reesey just this most recent trip. She didn't show to be in any pain, just a little limp. Vet said she could just be a little sore, or he may have hit a muscle with the shot that is just causing overall stiffness. We just watched it for a day, day and a half, and then she was back to normal in no time. If it persists, contact the vet. But most likely, vet may have hit a muscle. It's not too uncommon.
