My sister wants to see a play for her birthday in 2 weeks. I've been looking in the paper and in metromix but nothing is really grabbing me- has anyone seen anything good lately? (We've already seen Wicked and Blue Man Group) Any other suggestions?

Re: theater/play rec's
Wicked and Jersey Boys are currently my top two favorites... by far. I'm hoping to get tickets to Jersey Boys again soon, and I'm going to see Wicked (third time) next month. But there a lot of other great shows as well if you can't afford or get tickets for those more popular shows.
A Chorus Line (hysterical), Spamalot (great for those British comedy buffs - I loved it), Grease (who doesn't love it?), Chicago (fans of Fosse will like this one, and anyone who likes jazz), Rain: Tribute to the Beatles (if you like the Beatles, this is a must-see). I liked all of the above.
We REALLY loved Wicked and Jersey Boys - it'd be hard to pick.
Wicked is more of a play with great costumes & sets and strong singing voices - whereas I thought JB was almost like a concert with scenery and stories in between.
You can't go wrong with either.
